Pippa & Peach

This year for Valentine's Day, Josh got me two baby bunnies! They are the cutest, softest little fluff balls. Peach is the blondie and Pippa is our black nosed bunny. We looked at our various options for rabbit hutches and decided to build our own (that was the REAL gift from Josh, haha).

Peach is extremely energetic and is always running and jumping around when we have them out of the hutch. It is SO funny to watch how high these babies can jump!

Pippa is the calmer one and most likely to snuggle while I read or watch TV by the fire.
Now that spring is here the bunnies get to spend a lot more time running around with Wyatt and Ruby in the back yard. Pippa loves to explore under the deck and is extremely fast.

I never really thought that I would have pet rabbits but I am actually really enjoying them! They are mostly potty trained which is something that I didn't realize you could do with rabbits. We keep a small litter box in their hutch so that they don't forget that that is where they need to do their business whenever we bring them inside.

Ruby loves them so, so much! When we first brought them home she would sit next to their box and whine. Every time they were out she would lay by them and lick them as if they were her own puppies! Wyatt calls them his "honnies" Which is the cutest thing ever!

It's becoming pretty apparent that I am going to be a crazy animal lady. Oops!

Why do wedding photos take up such a large chunk of our budget?

As a photographer, I am always looking at photographs. I love to flip through photo albums from my parents' childhood, peruse my elementary school yearbooks and ogle my wedding photos from last year. Of course, I also love to click through my past clients sessions and see how happy they are with their loved ones, or how they learned to be comfortable and confident in themselves while flying solo during one of our portrait sessions. As a photographer, I chat with clients about their budgets for their upcoming wedding photographs all the time. I was married about 11.89 months ago and I can speak with experience from both sides of the bride/photographer table- the most important thing that you will spend your hard earned dollars on will be your wedding photographs. It seems hard to shell out more than 1,000 dollars for something you can hire your best friend from elementary school with the nice camera and kit lens to do for an 8th of the price, right? True, they will give you a ...

HOW TO ROCK AT BEING BOTH A FUR MAMA & A BABY MAMA

I've always loved animals. As a kid I would beg my mom to let us have a dog; I would come up with chores to do as bargianing chips hoping that the trade would be enough to get a puppy for my birthday or for Christmas. I would collect animal fact cards & magazines & I loved to pour over encyclopedias of Dog Breeds. Later in life, as a newly wed, the incessant desire to have a dog of my own resurfaced. Josh and I would sit in bed and google puppy pictures of different breeds that I had been interested in over the years. October 24, 2015 was the day that everything fell into place when I found a flyer for Australian Shepherd puppies that were for sale in Elk Grove, CA. We came home that night with our sweet, fluffy puppy and named her Ruby Lou &  our lives have never been the same. So much joy, love and comfort fills our days that we spend running, hiking, swimming and snuggling with our sweet fur baby. These last (almost) 3 years have been awesome with her by our s...

My FREE Online Fitness Faves!

There are so many new fitness apps and fitness gurus out there. I've been wanting to try some of them but whenever I would click on their link to join, the monthly price was just too much for me to pull the trigger. Don't get me wrong, I may some day choose one because they are generally much cheaper than a gym membership and very effective programs. However, right now in our college, penny pinching phase of life saving money is key! I bought some $7 resistance loop/bands from amazon and pulled up YouTube to search for work outs and I came across 6 fitness channels that I LOVE! Being stuck inside with a toddler and pup during this FREEZING winter has made me feel like I'm majorly slacking on my fitness since we don't get out to walk/run much. These free fitness videos, tips and work outs have helped me feel so much more like myself this last month. So, if you're like me and you want to get more effective "in home workouts" without paying 20-something...
