I honestly can't believe how quickly time seems to fly the older I've gotten. Not that I think I'm old per-say, but as the years roll on, the faster they seem to pass. 2017 has been a great year with so many fun experiences. It has also been a year that has brought challenges, big and small, old and new. In 2017 we worked, we played, we cried and we laughed. 2017 brought us a perfect, wonderful baby boy. Wyatt is seriously one of the brightest lights in my life. Becoming a mother has been wonderful and I'm grateful that with each passing day it seems to get easier and more fun. It was rough going for the first few weeks, with "baby blues" and sleepless nights. But now whenever Josh and I sit and look at the cute faces our baby makes, when we listen to his giggles I can't help but feel like we are a puzzle, each making the other whole. It's been one month* since these photos were taken and I figured I should get to work on writing Wyatt's birth story.  After a wonderful pregnancy with only a little bit of morning sickness that lasted to the end of my first trimester my due date of July 10th 2017 came...and it went! Honestly, I wasnt that surprised that our baby boy didn't come on his due date. I had had a feeling my whole last month that he would be a few days late. Though I still cried at my pre-natal appointment on the due date. The poor NP that got to see me that day! I was a big, very pregnant, tearful mama to be. On Thursday July 13th I did some last minute things like go swim laps, get a hair cut  and eat out for (deep fried) sushi with my hubby. While I was at the hair salon i noticed that my mucus plug had come out and my baby was feeling super active the whole time...

As a photographer, I am always looking at photographs. I love to flip through photo albums from my parents' childhood, peruse my elementary school yearbooks and ogle my wedding photos from last year. Of course, I also love to click through my past clients sessions and see how happy they are with their loved ones, or how they learned to be comfortable and confident in themselves while flying solo during one of our portrait sessions. As a photographer, I chat with clients about their budgets for their upcoming wedding photographs all the time. I was married about 11.89 months ago and I can speak with experience from both sides of the bride/photographer table- the most important thing that you will spend your hard earned dollars on will be your wedding photographs.
